The disciples are rowing in the darkness across the Sea of Galilee while a stupendous storm is whipping up. Lord Jesus has yet to join them. After the men had rowed three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat; and they were frightened. It seems they recognized that this was indeed The Lord, but they were unsure. This uncertainty caused fear. What should have been their chief mercy in the midst of the storm became a twisted way of thinking the best the worst!
Have you ever done this? Taken one of God's blessings and saw it as a difficulty? A trap? A nightmare?
During this pandemic period of “stay-at-home,” many people have had this same reaction. Fear. But families are drawing closer, new skills are being learned, there is more time to rest and relax, and hearts are calling out to God Who is our Provider. There is no fear with Christ.
He said to His disciples, “It is I; do not be afraid.”
See it from God's perspective. A blessing.
