God Knows

After Lord Jesus rose from the grave, He appeared to two disciples leaving Jerusalem on the road to Emmaus. Sad, they talked about the events of Christ's death and resurrection. Later, when the three ate together, God opened their eyes to see Who really was before them.

Then He disappeared.

"They asked each other, 'Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?'"

Has God's Word ever burned in your heart?

God’s Word is alive, able to penetrate your heart and mind, judging your thoughts and intentions. Jesus is the Word. He knows your true thoughts and feelings, even those you yourself are not completely aware of.

The Lord said to the men, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?”

God spoke thousands of years before the coming of The Lord, showing that He would send the Messiah, but they would not believe the prophecies, though they were right before their eyes. Many would not believe that Jesus was the Messiah, though He performed miracles right before their eyes, even the raising of the dead.

He came to Earth to live, die on the cross to take away the sins of the world, and be resurrected from the dead.

Do you truly believe this?

God knows whether you do or not.
